Stratton Street looking out for hungry kids

Driven by the recognition that children in Asian and Middle Eastern countries need more food aid to thrive physically and mentally, Asian specialist manager Stratton Street Capital LLP struck a deal with the United Nation's World Food Program.

Under its new Feed the Future initiative, Stratton Street Capital will donate the management fees of three bond funds to the WFP's school meals program in those regions, said Andrew “Andy” J. Seaman, partner and a fixed-income portfolio manager.

After a chance meeting with a WFP official at a hedge fund conference in Singapore, Mr. Seaman said he went back to Stratton Street Capital's London headquarters and convinced his colleagues that the new initiative would be a good fit for investors seeking a social return as well as a financial return from their investments.
